Ava Swift is a Seattle, Washington based artist. Her abstract expressionist style circles around textural layers and organic forms. Working primarily on wood, her process often unfolds through layering, scraping, and glazing across the history of the work, concealing and revealing new images as they emerge. Her work explores themes of the invisible and mystical as they become visible. With a long standing reverence for the psyche/soul, she is a psychotherapist and archetypal astrologer.
